Data Protection Declaration

Dear Users,

It is important to us that you feel secure and comfortable when visiting our websites, which is why we would like to inform you about how we handle your data below.

Usage data

Protecting your private sphere is very important to us. We have therefore designed our website so that it can be used anonymously as a matter of principle.

We use the information that we receive and store during your visit to our websites only for internal business purposes and to improve the design of the websites. One exception applies when this serves to protect against assaults which constitute criminal offences or affect the functionality of our websites. For this purpose, for example, the IP address of your computer is recorded and analysed for the purposes mentioned.

If you do not agree with this, you can object at any time, e.g. by email.

Cookies

Redirection to other websites

On our web pages you will also find links to websites hosted by other providers. You will recognise this by a logo, for example, or by the fact that a new browser opens. Insofar as this does not involve websites provided by the Block Group, we cannot give any guarantee that the data protection conditions will be complied with by the providers in question. If you have any questions about data protection, please contact the relevant providers.

Online application

If you apply with us online for the jobs advertised by us, we record your personal details. Your name, address and telephone numbers are used to get in touch with you during the application process. All the details are sent to us encrypted. We only pass on your details to third parties within the Block Group in order to obtain a return message from the decision maker regarding the application received. Your details are deleted once the statutory retention periods have elapsed.
You can look at the data protection guidelines here

Franchise application

As a business customer, you can also apply to us as a franchisee. For this purpose, we record your application details on an online form. These are sent to our systems encrypted. We need your name, postal address, telephone numbers and email in order to be able to contact you in the course of the application process. When the application process has ended and the statutory retention periods have elapsed, we delete your details if your application has unfortunately been unsuccessful.

Data security

We take technical and organisational security measures to protect your details from unwanted access as far as possible. Besides committing our employees to comply with data secrecy, carefully selecting and checking on service providers and securing our operational environment, we use an encryption process in some areas, for example. The information given by you is then transmitted in encrypted form using an SSL protocol (Secure Socket Layer) and checked for authenticity in order to prevent the data from being misused by third parties. You will recognise this by the fact that the lock symbol is closed on your browser’s status bar and the address line begins with ‘https’.

Data protection officer

Our company data protection officer is happy to provide you with information or address any suggestions on the subject of data protection.
